December is my favourite month of the year. It’s the time of the year to think of something special to gift loved ones, and also the month to be surprised with gifts in return. I have browsed through the latest offerings from the trendiest luxury brands to create a comprehensive Christmas guide with some covetable picks to gift this Christmas.
The Gucci Bamboo is a classic style revived from the brand’s archives. The oversized GG monogram contrasted with the miniature bag size definitely brings a contemporary take on the iconic design. As for accessories, Prada’s leather gloves with zippered triangle pockets are available in an array of delightful colours and sizes. If the person you’re gifting to likes a little bling, the crystal Chanel lipstick case will be a wow unboxing moment, or if you want to go all out, the ultra rare Gucci heart shape crystal clutch will be another definite showstopper.
The Dior Oblique monogram is a classic print. This Dior Men’s flask – which can be worn as a necklace – is absolutely adorable, and the camera bag is a perfect size for both men and women. Depending on whether you’re looking for something more muted or more statement, the camera bag is available in a more standard navy alongside this standout mustard yellow shade.
Loewe has such fun and vibrant bags this holiday season, with excellent quality leather for the brand’s price range. And from Jonathan Anderson’s own namesake brand, J.W Anderson, check out the colourful neck-warmers in fun and festive prints.
The Balenciaga x Gucci Hacker project was an iconic collaboration this year – any pieces from the collection are definitely a collector’s choice, while the distinct, unique packaging is sure to stand out under the Christmas tree.
Any Bottega Veneta items are by default a collectible since Daniel Lee’s departure from the brand in November. Each classic design is instantly recognisable, while most bags are available in a spectrum of colours.
Furry items are perfect for the winter season, whether it’s in the form of a mini Chanel chain bag, a pair of boots, or a Prada tote. In fact – the fluffier the better!
