Suitman’s Rasta Tiger’s Den at Soho House

Having spinned on the city’s streets since 2008, DJ Suitman has now brought his iconic homebuilt mobile dub truck to his “Rasta Tiger’s Den” at Soho House Hong Kong. Immerse yourself in nostalgia and impeccable beats as you walk through Suitman’s reproduction of a Korean vintage music market, where he will debut his first vinyl release A Man With Yellow Glasses and display his collection of vintage sound systems and prized Korean retro vinyl records. Limited-edition products in collaboration with Sticky Monster Lab, Balansa Busan and Kompakt Record Bar in Seoul are available in a pop-up store, with proceeds going towards the DJ’s “Love & Unity Tour” set to take place in Los Angeles and New York City.

M+ Cinema

Calling all filmophiles: the M+ Museum is opening their own cinema! The centrepiece of M+’s Moving Image Centre, the new cinema comprises three houses of varying sizes and will feature a wide selection of films that span across different disciplines, from restored classics and rarely-seen films to video art. For the cinema’s inaugural edition, the museum has also prepared a myriad of programmes, including special screenings of the 4K restored versions of Days of Being Wild (1990) by Wong Kar Wai and Xiao Wu (1998) by Jia Zhangke, as well as a film course Women Make Film: A New Road Movie Through Cinema (2018), sponsored by Chanel. Tickets will be on sale starting from May 20, and the cinema will be unveiled to the public on Jun 8.

French May

Taking place over the span of two months, French May is bringing the best of the arts to Asia. Highlights include “Cities of Light”, a Hong Kong-France cultural exchange concert featuring a crossover between renowned Hong Kong composer Leon Ko, pop singer and jazz vocalist Talie Monin and a contemporary circus by students from the prestigious Académie Fratellini and the Centre National des Arts du Cirque Châlons-en-Champagne (CNAC).
