BIGBANG 於 2006 年正式出道，至今已成軍接近 17 年，期間經歷前成員勝利的醜聞風波以及隊員入伍當兵令團體活動停擺。成員 T.O.P 首先於 2022 年 2 月宣布離開 YG 娛樂；太陽亦於同年年尾宣布離開，並將加入 The Black Label 推出個人 Solo 專輯；而大成於 2022 年年初於 BIGBANG 新單曲《Still Life》現身後，便緊接太陽宣布離開公司。

雖然如太陽所稱他們依舊是 BIGBANG 成員，但粉絲們仍非常關心最後一位留守在 YG 娛樂的成員——G-Dragon 的未來動向。
G-Dragon早前深陷吸毒風波，經過精密調查後，鑒定結果均為陰性，警方最終以「無嫌疑不移交」結案，擺脫吸毒罪名的他，未來動向格外引人關注。今日早上，Galaxy Corporation在首爾舉行記者會，宣佈與G-Dragon簽訂專屬合約，並解釋說明其無吸毒嫌疑。儘管G-Dragon沒出席現場，但這也宣告了他與YG Entertainmant的多年合作劃上句號。

YG Entertainment也透過Bigbang官方網站表示：「G-Dragon是象徵本公司的藝人之一，自2006年以Bigbang成員出道以來，與他在一起的度過的時間都是非常榮幸的。衷心祝願G-Dragon能夠有一個新的開始，也希望粉絲們能夠多多支持和鼓勵。」

G-Dragon洗清嫌疑後，今日透過新東家Galaxy Corporation發表手寫信，他感謝外界的支持才能夠成功度過這次難關，也因為這次經歷才發現過去沒注意到的狀況，因此，他決定身體力行，正式建立基金會來幫助沒有機會接受治療的戒癮者。
此外，Galaxy Corporation在記者會中宣佈了G-Dragon確定於2024年回歸，他將繼續努力為「VIP」們帶來值得期待的音樂作品！
