“Sea, Land and Sky” Series continues at Palco
After kicking off the series with a maritime tribute at Pano, Chef Ken Lau continues “Sea, Land, and Sky” with a meat-lover’s haven at Palco. The star of Palco’s anniversary menu is an indulgent five-grains puff pastry steak bake. Luxuriously coated with French foie gras, a cut of melt-in-your-mouth Japanese Miyazaki beef tenderloin is baked in a buttery puff pastry dome topped with an assortment of seeds, and then placed in a sophisticated pool of black truffle sauce.

Chef Andrés Rendón reinvogorates Nikkei cuisine at ICHU
This Nikkei restaurant and bar in Central introduces a new chef, new a la carte menu and new terrace bar, all to be enjoyed in the nick of summertime. Born in Venezuela, Chef Rendón relocated from the St Regis Downtown in Dubai to create a unique menu blending Peruvian and Japanese flavours. Seafood lovers can rejoice over the plethora of options, from succulent grilled octopus and tiger prawns sourced from Chile, to a refreshing tuna tartare with black caviar, hamachi ceviche, mixto ceviche and salmon truffle. Take this as a sign to embark on a Nikkei culinary adventure if your tastebuds haven’t led the way already.

Morton’s hosts “Sips of Summer”
If there’s any cause for a boozy celebration, the 90th anniversary of the end of America’s prohibition tops the list. For one night only, Morton’s The Steakhouse is hosting their Sips of Summer event which features prohibition inspired cocktails and innovative bites. Bonnie & Clyde makes a sensational entrance, not as the most notorious criminal couple, but as a cocktail consisting of vodka, watermelon, pineapple and lime. Munch your way back to 1920s America with Morton’s classics including the Oysters Rockefeller New Orleans Style and Morton’s Filet Mignon Finger Sandwiches. Project Tropical Burger at Maka Hiki
Trade a classic American burger for unique summertime renditions at Maka Hiki! A new burger range arrives with surprising flavour combinations that feature the restaurant’s crowd-favourite menu signatures. Before Chôm Chôm heads off for summer break (the beloved ba hoi is closed for a quick facelift this summer), they’re hosting a few parties to go out on a bang. On “An OG Menu” available from July 20 to 24, expect Chôm Chôm favourites like Bun Cha Hanoi from 2013, Caramel Black Cod from 2014 and Sriracha Grilled Corn from 2018. Head down to the stoop for a full-day “Going-home Party” on their last day of service on July 24 — ice-cold beers, Vietnamese snacks and good music guaranteed. But don’t fret if you miss out on the fun, return to the Vietnamese joint in September 2023 for a renovated space and rejuvenated souls.

The Pizza Project x Wow CharSiu
Any true Hong Konger will be a fan of The Pizza Project’s latest special: the Honey Char Siu Pizza. Created in collaboration with local barbecue pork restaurant Wow CharSiu, the new pizza is lent a Cantonese twist with the BBQ joint’s very own honey-roasted char siu pork coated in a sweet glaze, complemented by a crispy fried duck egg that cuts open to a creamy, runny golden yolk. To top it all off? A drizzle of Wow CharSiu’s homemade chilli sauce, which gives the pizza a tangy, spicy kick.

Four-Hands Nordic Japanese Dining at Test Kitchen
Crafting a symphony of Nordic and Japanese flavours, the hottest up-and-coming chefs from Copenhagen and Hong Kong are joining hands to present a 7-course Nordic Japanese popup at the Test Kitchen. Chef Edward Lee is the founder and co-owner of Gaijin, an informal Japanese eatery in Copenhagen that has garnered praise for its exceptional food and wine since the restaurant’s opening last year.
