Chosen by Lagerfeld to be the bride closing off the show, Elson’s career with Chanel would blossom into a number of future campaigns and catwalk appearances. “It was such an amazing moment to be there, and terrifying as well,” the supermodel says, as Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and other icons welcomed her into the scene.

In the Costume National Show for Spring 2000, Elson was unfortunately given shoes that were far too small, causing her a minor injury. “Sometimes a girl reaches her limit,” Elson tweeted, accompanied by a video of her taking her shoes off in the middle of the runway. Giving her fans another reason to love her, the down-to-earth supermodel stood by her decision, saying “Yes, I threw off my shoes on the runway like a petulant diva. In my defence, they cut my feet open.”

Adding ‘dancer’ to the resume, Elson showcased mesmerising moves as part of Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2004 fashion performance. Hand In hand with Kailand Morris, Elson walked down the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2019 runway in a gorgeous multi-patterned floral frock. Having created the show to celebrate the beauty of everyone’s unique identity, Domenico Dolce exclaimed, “Each one of us is the king or queen of our own lives.” A lively and jubilant exhibition indeed, its 150 looks brought smiles to everyone in the audience.
Waitressing For Moschino
Supermodel Elson was the star of the inspired Moschino 2022 resort collection films, which brought Jeremy Scott’s whimsical, campy aesthetic to life. Elson played the role of a diner waitress who dreams herself into a musical theatre performance, covering classic songs like Chic’s ‘Everybody Dance’ and Lipps Inc’s ‘Funkytown’. Finally, the films closed with Elson’s original song, ‘Lightning Strikes’.
