The world of fashion, fragrance and art collide on the new FendiFrenesia scented baguette, a collaboration between Roman luxury house Fendi and Parisian perfumery Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
An icon since its inception in 1997, Silvia Venturini Fendi’s Baguette has remained the It-bag of choice for the likes of Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw and supermodels Elsa Hosk and Gigi Hadid. This time, the famed handbag receives a new sensory element via scented Selleria leather — a leather infused with the new FendiFrenesia eau de parfum, a gender-fluid fragrance created by Francis Kurkdjian, which features leather-y and musky notes inspired by the nobility and fluidity of the Selleria leather.
“Out of love for fine craftsmanship and for my profession, I modernised a technique invented by 12th-century master glove maker-perfumers, successfully bringing it back to life,” notes Francis Kurkdjian on his patented technique.
The limited-edition Baguette will arrive in both original and nano sizes, boasting Fendi’s signature yellow colourway with a print created by Canadian-Swiss artist and photographer Christelle Boulé. Boulé created the print by depositing drops of the FendiFrenesia perfume on coloured film paper, then drying it, exposing it to light and immersing it in development baths to reveal the olfactory imprint. Each Baguette will also house a 5ml bottle of FendiFrenesia fragrance, which can be worn on the skin or sprayed on a card hidden inside the Baguette bag.
