Dough By Design
Dough By Design was created as a response to the inability to travel during COVID-19. The founders sought to recreate the flavours of their favourite donut spots in Tokyo and LA – Tokyo for their light and delicate textures and LA for their innovative flavours and XL sizes. Dough By Design successfully achieved both feats, with thoughtful and refined flavours brought together with perfectly fluffy bread. The unique flavour lineup includes dark chocolate raspberry, caramel apple and maple bacon amongst classics of sugar-dusted and original glazed.

Flakes and Layers
Model turned pastry connoisseur Amanda Strang has updated the donut with Flakes and Layers’ unique rendition of the classic favourite. Coined the Oonut, flaky, crispy millefeuille is moulded into a traditional doughnut shape and filled with rich pastry cream. The innovative pastry was originally offered in three flavours – vanilla, chocolate and Yin Yang (coffee and tea) – and the line has since expanded to also include pistachio and strawberry.

Bakehouse
With lines stretching round the block in both their Wanchai and Soho locations, Bakehouse needs no introduction. Opened by former Four Seasons executive pastry chef Gregoire Michaud in 2018, the artisan bakery quickly rose to cult status, with their famed sourdough egg tarts stealing the limelight as a signature baked good. However, Bakehouse doughnuts are not one to miss: fluffy bread gives way to a smooth, indulgent filling including decadent chocolate hazelnut, creamy vanilla custard, tangy raspberry jam or refined matcha cream.
