WandaVision

Disney+’s first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, WandaVision, became the most watched TV series in the world just after a month of its release in January 2021. Set three weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), WandaVision follows Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and her husband Vision (Paul Bettany) as they navigate life in the town of Westview while trying to conceal their superpowers. In homage to past sitcoms, television tropes from different decades are interweaved to portray Wanda and Vision’s new mundane suburban life, which is not what it seems to be. As Wanda mentally falls apart, the couple realise why they came to Westview in the first place.
