Anchored by the mantra “Life is Extraordinary!”, Danish label BoConcept by mavericks Jens Ærthøj and Tage Mølholm continues to go above and beyond to provide aesthetic-conscious urban dwellers the pleasure of infusing their own personality into their homes.

Taking a holistic approach, the experience begins with BoConcept’s friendly consultants understanding the extent of clients’ refurbishment followed by their preferences. A highlight to many discerning homeowners is their stunning fabric wall, which displays an array of 120 fabrics such as aniline leather, felt, velvet, amongst many others. But it doesn’t just stop at bespoke customization of all their cutting-edge furniture pieces. Lauded for their interior design consulting services, the consultation also entails on-site inspection and measurements for seamless 3D renditions to showcase clients’ dream renovations.

This year, BoConcept Hong Kong heralds its 10th anniversary by sharing their interior design journeys as Hong Kong’s most influential trendsetter Mayao Ma moved into a new office. Ma had always been dazzled by BoConcept’s window display so he stepped inside when the store opened in 2013 and purchased a table. Inspired by his affection for the table, he decided to work with BoConcept for his third office relocation.

Since tidiness is priority to Ma, he also expressed the need to hide sundries as well as daily appliances such as a refrigerator and microwave oven. The team at BoConcept specially customized the Copenhagen wall system based on his specific dimensions — making it not just practical but a visually appealing feature wall in the office. The spot- light, however, is on the Hampton sofa upholstered in a Leeds fabric complementing the view from the window. For utmost comfort, this sofa features a low base with ad- justable backrests and armrests that provide storage space. This was styled alongside a vibrant green hued Dublin chair and footstool enhanced with Lazio terry-textured fabric. The designers complemented this youthful yet artsy vibe with a white Eden footstool, using Auckland Boucle, an entirely fluffy fabric from BoConcept’s Autumn/ Winter ’22 collection.

Actress Chrissie Chau designed a new home with BoConcept’s help. A fan of Nordic minimalist design, Chau’s favourite also began with the Copenhagen wall system that neatly yet humbly stores her awards, fan letters for her artistic accomplishments as well as the cat feeder.

Chau also enjoys entertaining family and friends over a meal, and the Hauge dining table fits the bill perfectly with its extendable table board. While her elderly family members preferred the comfortable Hauge dining chair, she enjoyed the unique design of the Ottawa chairs, which resembled a leaf.

BoConcept assured her that mixing and matching both dining chairs was a good idea and blended seamlessly with the wooden accents and white hues throughout her house.
