Highly commended by Grammys’ CEO Harvey Mason Jr., The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah will return on stage to host the 2022 awards show after hosting the 63rd Grammy Awards last year.
Who will be considered for the 2022 Grammys?
Any music released between 1 September 2020 and 30 September 2021 is eligible to be considered for an award. Records nominated for the four main categories, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist, have to comprise 75 per cent of newly recorded music.

What’s more, any songwriter, engineer, producer or featured artist on a record nominated for Album of the Year gets a nomination as long as they have worked on at least one of the songs, as opposed to 33 per cent or more of the record’s length, which was the requirement in the past.
Two brand-new categories, Best Global Music Performance (Global Music Field) and Best Música Urbana Album (Latin Music Field), will also be introduced, bringing the award category total to 86.
Who will perform?
BTS, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, and Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow are set to perform live in Las Vegas. They are all nominees for the 2022 Grammys.
