The Emmys 2023 FAQs:
When will the 2023 Emmys take place?
The 2023 Emmys are set to take place on Monday 15 January 2024, at 5pm PT. The ceremony was originally scheduled for 18 September 2023, but had to be pushed back as a result of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
What are the eligibility requirements for the 2023 Emmys?
Any programme that aired between 1 June 2022 and 31 May 2023 is eligible for this year’s awards, meaning – somewhat confusingly – that The Bear’s critically acclaimed first season is up for prizes, but its more recently aired second instalment is not.
Who is hosting the 2023 Emmys?
Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson will host the ceremony. Kenan Thompson served as master of ceremonies for the 2022 awards, while Cedric the Entertainer and Jimmy Kimmel took on hosting duties in 2021 and 2020, respectively.
Where will the 2023 Emmys be held?
While announcing this year’s nominees, the Television Academy stated that the ceremony is due to be held at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles.
Which show got the most nominations for the 2023 Emmys?
That would be the explosive final season of Succession, which received a cool 27 nods.
How can I watch the 2023 Emmys?
Fox is scheduled to air the ceremony in the US, with UK broadcast plans to be confirmed in due course.
