Gucci took this year’s Met Gala theme of “Camp” to its fullest extent at the brand’s after-party that was held, of all places, inside the gym of New York’s prestigious Hunter College.

Creative Director Alessandro Michele served as party host, presiding over the neon-lit basketball court, where the name of the game was Gucci vs. Guccy, as spelled out on the scoreboard. The venue was duly transformed into a nostalgic fever dream of the prototypical American high school, where tinsel streamers in the college colours, Gucci-monogrammed cups, and snacks such as onion rings, corn dogs and soft-serve were handed out on cafeteria trays.

In attendance were Katy Perry (who transformed into an outsized hamburger), Jared Leto and his replica head, Harry Styles, Alexa Chung, Andrew Garfield, Awkwafina, Benedict Cumberbatch, Billy Porter, Sienna Miller, Henry Golding, Naomi Campbell, the Olsen twins, Lily-Rose Depp, and Frank Ocean, among others who danced into the night to Mark Ronson’s tunes.
