Gishiki Lounge
Gishiki Lounge is the cheeky sister establishment to the exclusive omakase restaurant Sushi Zo that opened this year in Tai Kwun. Taking inspiration from the Japanese myth of Hannya – scorned women turned mythical creatures – the bar will honour these figures with sculptures adorning its walls. Along with bespoke cocktails inspired by Noh (Japanese traditional opera), and exclusive Gishiki label gold leaf sake, the lounge promises geisha-inspired live performances and experimental techno-funk music.

Louise
Julien Royer, the chef behind Singapore’s Odette (which nabbed the honour of Asia’s Best Restaurant 2019) is launching Louise, his first Hong Kong venture this June. Louise is to be quite different to his award-winning Odette. A more casual affair, the restaurant will be a love letter to French comfort food classics both from his childhood as well as from his favourite dishes that he currently enjoys with friends.

PIIN
With the opening of the new H Code building in Central comes a wine-and-dine concept from the owners of two of Burgundy’s most impressive domaines, Château de Meursault and Château de Marsannay. The kitchen is to be helmed by Chef Ming, former chef of the renowned Fook Lam Moon. With dishes like Smoky Cold Abalone with Plum Sauce paired with the equally complex 2001 Chateau de Beauscastel, and Deboned Chicken Wing Filled with Glutinous Rice paired with the silky Volnay or Vosne-Romanee, the restaurant aims to dispel the myth that Chinese food and European wine do not partner well.
