Most memorable Hong Kong moment.
My best memory is the opening of my first boutique, at the Landmark in 2005. There was a big party and fashion show overlooking the Hong Kong Harbour.
A great spot for shopping.
Pacific Place, Harbour City, and The Landmark.
Favourite restaurants.
SEVVA, for drinks on the terrace overlooking the harbour and the beautiful ceiling dome of flowers! And of course the chic China Club, with its lovely art and city views from the terrace.
Unmissable markets.
Hollywood Road for antiques and artefacts.
Where to stay.
Best place for a nightcap.
I still love the old and elegant Peninsula Hotel, owned by my friend Michael Kadoorie – amazing views of Hong Kong Island from restaurant Felix.
Best gallery or museum.
Pace Gallery, opened by my friend Arne Glimcher, represents the Chinese artists who did my portraits – Zhang Huan, Li Songsong and Hai Bo.
Most mind-blowing view.
I love hiking in Hong Kong! The best views are from the peaks of the Twins and its 1,000 steps, and the Dragon’s Back trails .
The city’s best-kept secret?
Night swimming at the Four Seasons’ pool. It’s open very late, and it’s an amazing feeling swimming between the tops of buildings while looking at the city lit up.
