The Hong Kong Philharmonic is bringing jazz to West Kowloon! The Hong Kong Philharmonic Jazz Ensemble, pianist and arranger Patrick Lui, saxophonist Paulo Levi, and vocalist Talie Monin will perform two concerts starting at 7:30 p.m. at The Box. The set will feature iconic pieces from Ella Fitzgerald and those from other legendary jazz musicians. Enjoy an evening out, and revel in the rich melodies once sung by the Queen of Jazz herself.

Joining Tai Kwun in Bloom are over a dozen sustainable, local-owned brands with offerings ranging from handcrafted soap to hand-dyed fabric flowers. TOP SWOP, Take Out Plastic

Take Out Plastic is back at it again with its fourth instalment of TOP SWOP. To reduce Hong Kong’s single-use plastic, the non-profit organisation is partnering with event planner Evenstigated, the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, and AIA Vitality Hong Kong to launch this clothes-swapping event. It operates on a simple set of rules: for each article of clothing you bring in, you receive a token, which can be exchanged for another item. But don’t unearth your entire wardrobe just yet — you can only bring along a maximum of 10 articles. Make sure to buy your ticket well in advance, and get ready to swap ‘til you drop!

Cartier and Women, Hong Kong Palace Museum
Qipaos, ink wash paintings, and…Cartier? With the support of esteemed jewellery manufacturer Cartier, the Hong Kong Palace Museum will be presenting the exhibition, Cartier and Women. Located in Gallery 8, Cartier and Women will display over 300 pieces of jewellery, watches, and archival records that detail the brand’s illustrious history, focusing on the relationship between women and jewellery throughout the ages. Renowned pieces to look out for include the Panthère clip brooch designed for the Duchess of Windsor, Princess Marie Bonaparte’s 1907 pearl and diamond tiara, and pieces that belonged to Grace Kelly, Prince of Monaco. The exhibition will also feature items with Chinese aesthetics, such as a stunning 1934 jadeite necklace once owned by American heiress Barbara Hutton, Cartier’s first daoism-inspired pendant with a yin-yang symbol, and jewellery from Hong Kong actress Carina Lau’s extensive collection.
