Digital Art Fair Xperience 2022

Digital Art Fair returns to Central Hong Kong for its Xperience show! The event will showcase digital artwork using interactive Web 3.0 technologies including blockchain and VR, while the Immersive Zone will spotlight London-based Chinese contemporary pop artist Jacky Tsai, who is known for fusing East and West symbols and imagery in his works. Visitors will also get the chance to create their own digital artwork, which will be displayed as part of a digital art public art installation “The Xperience Art Project’’ and transformed into the show venue’s facade video wall on Queen’s Road Central.

This year, Asia’s first surrealist metahuman artist MonoC will show her work at Hong Kong’s Digital Art Fair, making history as the first virtual human to participate in the exhibition. She presents “Corona Florella”, which transforms COVID-19 data into a series of six generative artworks tracing our shared experiences under the global pandemic, centred around her signature floral motif.

“Gender & Space”, Tai Kwun

Revisit one of Hong Kong’s most historical landmarks through the lens of gender. Through sharing the stories and experiences of women at Tai Kwun across a century from 1841 to 1941, “Gender & Space” aims to fill a gap in the former police compound’s history by re-evaluating its gendered spaces. The exhibition shines a spotlight on underrepresented women who have experienced gender  and spearheaded change in the heritage site, raising thought-provoking questions about the role of gender norms in shaping our social consciousness to this day.
