Statement’s Britannia Brunch
Those with a hankering for traditional meal of table-side carvery (complete with silver dinnerware) from Old Blighty should look no further than British restaurant Statement in Tai Kwun. For the Easter weekend only, the usual premium cuts of organic beef have been replaced by seasonal Welsh shoulder of lamb, while a sailing aboard the Aqua Luna junk will also be offered as part of the meal. At HK$628, the brunch is offered between 12-3pm and comes with Veuve Cliquot champagne.
Estiatorio Keia’s Orthodox Easter Brunch
In classic Greek tradition, H Queen’s restaurant Estiatorio Keia is set to offer an Orthodox Easter Brunch (HK$488, or HK$776 with a drinks package) that includes “Easter Bread” Tsoureki and red eggs, followed by roasted BBQ lamb as a main course. Chocolate Easter eggs crafted by pastry chef Marinos Kosmas add a timely note to end the meal on.
La Rambla’s Easter Weekend Brunch
La Rambla’s Chef Ferran Tadeo will cook up an Easter brunch on April 21-22 that is centred on Catalan classics such as Grilled Oyster San Micheal, Josper Grilled Black Cod, and La Mona de Pascua, a traditional Spanish cake typically enjoyed over Easter. Priced at HK$680 per person, diners can add HK$350 for a free-flow selection of premium alcohols.

Liu Bolin: New Change
Over The Influence is presenting the latest work of Liu Bolin, best known for his photographic work whereby he paints over his subjects to camouflage them into the scenery. This solo show is entitled ‘New Change’ and features his paintings and sculptures alongside his signature photography. Ends April 27.
Julio Le Parc: Light – Mirror
At 90 years old, Paris-based Argentine artist Julio Le Parc is finally getting his first solo Asian show at Perrotin Hong Kong, highlighting his pioneering op art and kinetic art. The exhibition of optical illusions turned art takes place over several rooms, the highlight of which is a maze-like space covered entirely in black-and-white stripes, creating a mesmerising effect that is amplified by the addition of mirrors. Ends May 3.

Easter Block Party at Blue Supreme

The neighbourhood bar and purveyor of Belgian beers is throwing a block party in celebration of the holiday. Head to Sheung Wan’s Upper Lascar Row for a heady mix of live beers, a street BBQ, a DJ set by FuFu Creative, and a puppy adoption event (because puppies just make things that much better). Runs April 20-21, between 12-5pm.
