Get your little black dress and string of pearls at the ready, you could finally be having Breakfast at Tiffany’s, literally. Set to open in mid-October, jewellery house Tiffany and Co. will be opening a cafe at One Peking Road serving up breakfast, afternoon tea and other traditional cafe favourites. Expect truffled eggs, avo-toast, smoked salmon bagels, and sweet treats, all frosted in Tiffany blue.

Gunpowder

Gunpowder is the latest eatery to land in Wan Chai’s Ship Street. The modern Indian resto-bar is from the people behind the award-winning Gaylord Indian Restaurant, and will be serving up traditional Indian dishes with a modern flair, in a contemporary setting of marbled tables and pendant lights. Highlights include the Gunpowder Chicken, crispy chicken nibbles with explosive flavour, hence the name, as well as the Mussullam Roulade, a modern take on the famous stuffed chicken delicacy of the Mughlai Dynasty, served with a rich and creamy saffron sauce.

Asaya Kitchen

Asaya Kitchen is the newest dining concept by luxury-hotel Rosewood Hong Kong. Set to open late October, Asaya Kitchen sits alongside their urban wellness “Asaya” concept, serving wholesome health-conscious and responsibly-sourced fare with a focus on Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine. With spacious interiors and remarkable views of Victoria Harbour, Asaya Kitchen delivers a vegan-friendly, health-conscious option for diners and hotel guests.

RUAM Thai Eatery and Bar

Thai market favourites reimagined, RUAM is the newest Thai izakaya-style eatery. Boasting a lush terrace, al-fresco bar area and a cosy dining room, guests can take their pick from the intimate bench seating, the ornate outdoor sofas or the taller stools at the bar. RUAM serves up hearty family dishes of grilled sea bass and aromatic curries, along with lighter snacks of grilled chicken skewers and sun-dried pork strips.

Chef Wolfgang Puck’s first Hong Kong venture has opened its doors at Hong Kong International Airport. Delivering Californian-style comfort food dishes, from hearty American breakfasts to salads, pizzas and sandwiches, the restaurant focuses on affordable quality for the discerning traveller on the go. Opening hours will allow for early breakfasts and late-night eats.

Micasadeco & Café

The latest contender to the local souffle pancake craze, is the award-winning Ricotta Cheese Pancake from Micasadeco & Cafe, newly opened in Langham Place. An Osaka-export, the cafe will be serving their signature pancakes as well as other savoury options for their breakfast, brunch and lunch menus. The signature Ricotta Cheese Souffle Pancake is a marriage of Japan-sourced ingredients (of egg, flour and milk) and Italian ricotta cheese. Resulting in an airy, melt-in-your-mouth fluffiness that has made Micasadeco a cult-favourite back home.

Avobar

It’s first international venture since opening in London, the mecca for avocado-aficionados, Avobar, has launched in Hong Kong. Their all-day menu offers a variety of healthy comfort food, from brunch dishes and salad bowls to desserts and drinks, all in the name of avocado. Highlights include the OG plate of Ultimate Avo Toast, as well as the vegetarian Avo Bun burger and, Hong Kong exclusive, the Avo Bun Beef, a dish of pulled beef with avo and salsa.
