Jennie is a noted Chanel girl, so it was no surprise that the singer was sitting front row at the label’s spring 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week yesterday. The Blackpink member and solo artist did, however, surprise fans—by showing up with a new platinum blonde hair color. “No explanation needed for my hair,” laughs Jennie. (Clearly, she simply wanted to make a statement.) “Chanel always gives me inspiration and good energy. I always look forward to Chanel’s fashion show’s concept and looks.”

Jennie’s dramatic beauty transformation wasn’t the only star of her show-day look. The singer made a statement by slipping into a turquoise knit top and mint-green hot pants, accessorizing with strands of Chanel pearls. She added a quilted top-handle bag, of course. “I was inspired by the looks of style icons from the 60s, like Edie Sedgwick and Twiggy, who led the trends of the time,” Jennie says. “I reinterpreted their signature pop, color combinations and modern styles in a contemporary way to create my own look.” It was a fresh and youthful take on quintessential Chanel pieces. “For events like this, I like to take the elegant and feminine styles that the original models wore, and put my own twist on them,” she says “sometimes going for a funky, cool, or chic vibe.”

Given that it’s officially fall, Jennie currently has cozy season looks in mind. “I’m really into layering outfits when the weather is cool like this,” says Jennie. “I love pulling out my favorite leather jacket and enjoying the fall vibe.” (Us too.) The star adds that she will also be putting emphasis on accessories. “I’ve been collecting small items like brooches and scarves, along with fun socks,” says Jennie. “They add unique touches to my outfits. I also love collecting pants. There are endless colors and fits out there, it feels like a never-ending journey.”

Fashion aside, Jennie has a busy few weeks on deck. First, she’s releasing a new single, Mantra, this month. “It’s something my fans and I have really been looking forward to,” she says. “I’ll be focusing on creating opportunities for us to connect and communicate, allowing us to share special experiences together and interact with fans from all over the world.” As for what you can expect from the new track? “It’s a fun, upbeat anthem that celebrates girl power and inspires every woman to shine in her own way with confidence.” If it’s anything like You & Me or Solo, then it’s bound to be a banger.
