It’s definitely official now! Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas said “I do” for a second time in France today. (They also wed in a civil ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas back in May. An Elvis impersonator officiated; the bride wore a jumpsuit by Ukranian label Bevza; the couple exchanged Ring Pops; and Diplo recorded the whole thing.) This weekend’s epic celebration was a bit more elegant, yet still a very fun-filled family affair. The weekend began on Thursday when the couple arrived at Le Chateau de Tourreau in Provence. The bride channeled Carolyn Bessette when she appeared later that evening in a simple white sheath dress and metallic sandals for the welcome dinner, while the groom-to-be was dapper in pinstripes.
The next night, Sophie was the embodiment of the Jonas Brothers’ song “Burnin’ Up” when she and Joe arrived to their rehearsal dinner at Hotel de la Mirande in Avignon wearing matching red ensembles. Her crimson sleeveless sheath and stilettos seemed to be pulled straight from the lyrics. The rest of the guests, including Priyanka Chopra, who just married Nick Jonas in December in their own double-ceremony, Kevin and Danielle Jonas, and Ashley Graham and husband Justin Ervin, were all in white.
For their Saturday nuptials, Turner wore a Louis Vuitton dress, while Jonas wore an all-black suit. Turner’s co-star Maisie Williams was her maid of honor, while Jonas’s brothers and DNCE bandmates served as his groomsmen. The couple’s dog even made an appearance, wearing his own mini tux, Today reports.
The Game of Thrones star met Jonas when the superstar singer slid into her DMs—making for a thoroughly modern meet-cute. “We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time,” Sophie told Harper’s Bazaar. “We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue.” His move worked, and news broke about the couple’s relationship in December of 2016. By October of 2017, they were engaged. Turner was 21 years old. She told Rolling Stone: “I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know. I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age.”
