If there’s someone who can make a comeback in style, it is Miss Isabella Khair Hadid. The supermodel took a break from modelling and was last seen on the runway in 2022 for Coperni’s Spring Summer 2023 collection — who could forget her iconic spray-on dress moment? Luckily for us, the “Queen of Cannes” has finally returned on the red carpet, this time with a renewed love for archival pieces and vintage fashion finds that we can’t get enough of.

For her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in two years, Hadid arrived in a brown spaghetti strap dress with a corset panel and pink suede Prada kitten heels adorned with tiny bows and silver grommets. To accessorise, she opted for gold-rimmed rectangular sunglasses and gold hoops to complete the Y2K look.

Turning heads at the The Apprentice premier, Hadid donned a sheer halter dress from Saint Laurent Fall 2024. Featuring only 10 denier hosiery, the dress comprises a knotted pantyhose bodice and a below-the-knee skirt with a control top hemline. She paired the tan number with a pair of peep-toe heels and Chopard jewellery. Safe to say she delivered the boldest look of the night.

On Day 8, Hadid strutted down the roads of Cannes in true supermodel style with her hair slicked back, rocking slim-framed sunglasses and silver earrings. Her dress of choice is a gold halter-style mini that features a subtle all-over floral print.

Later that evening, Hadid changed into a nude dress from Gucci Spring/Summer 2005. Just like her other daring sartorial choices, this dress has a plunging neckline, adorned with a crisscrossing woven detail above the asymmetrical hemline. For jewellery, she wore a two-strand necklace with a large pear-shaped pendant and three-stone drop earrings — we’re not sure what’s more dazzling, Hadid or her diamonds?

For Chopard’s “Once Upon A Time” dinner, no one looked as magical as Hadid. A vision in vintage, she stunned in a backless number from Dsquared2 Fall/Winter 2006. The dress’ rhinestone chains hung down to meet a soft bow at the back and the silver dress flowed in the wind as she descended the stone steps. Her Chopard jewellery was a gleaming diamond pendant necklace and matching drop earrings — the perfect ensemble for the affair.
Bella Hadid came and conquered Cannes, and we can’t wait to see what fashion feast she’ll serve up next — just give us a moment to recover from her ravishing looks at the French Riviera.
