They’re the lists that let us know exactly who’s who in fashion, beauty and celebrity, and now the Forbes highest paid model list for 2018 has been revealed. Although the results aren’t exactly surprising, it is good to know that some our favourite models are being compensated (and very well!) for their hard work.
Topping the list is none other than Kendall Jenner, who raked in a huge HK$176 million over the 2017/2018 financial year — which might be more than any other model in the industry, but is chump change compared to her sister Kylie Jenner, who is on track to become the first Kardashian/Jenner billionaire. Kendall, who has a lucrative beauty deal with Estée Lauder and gets paid for her appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, topped the list for the second year in a row. Other notable names on the list include Chrissy Teigen, who likely made her big money from a make-up collaboration with Becca Cosmetics and her second cookbook, Cravings: Hungry For More. Not bad for a woman Donald Trump hates so much he blocked her on Twitter.
Cara Delevingne landed a spot on the list, despite the fact the model hardly appears on the runway anymore. However, it’s her Hollywood movie career that likely landed her the money, with the model-turned-actress appearing in Valerian in 2017.
Both Bella and Gigi Hadid make the list, each earning in the millions for their services to fashion and beauty. Between them, the pair have partnerships all over the industry, from Gigi’s famous Tommy Hilfiger collaboration to Bella’s Dior alliance — both jobs which pay well, if this list is anything to go by.
According to Forbes, the 2018 list sees three notable faces drop off the top 10, with Adriana Lima, Ashley Graham and Liu Wen all earning below HK$63 million for the year — and dropping off the end in the meantime.
