Since its inception more than a decade ago, jewellery brand, Messika, has become a firm celebrity favourite, both on and off the red carpet. The maison is known for its dazzling diamonds, modern jewellery designs and delicate craftsmanship. Valérie Messika, who founded the label in 2005, inherited her love for jewellery and expertise from her father – renowned diamond merchant, André Messika.
2020 may have been a relatively quiet year, but that didn’t stop stars such as Beyoncé and Emily Ratajkowski from flaunting their Messika sparklers. At the 54th Annual Super Bowl in Miami, Beyoncé donned a custom-made high jewellery choker featuring a 17 carat diamond by Messika. A few weeks prior, Ratajkowski attended a basketball game wearing the brand’s Snake Dance hoop earrings and Move Romane double ring. This year, legendary supermodel Kate Moss appeared on all three covers of Vogue Hong Kong’s March 2021 issue sporting pieces from her very own collection made in collaboration with the Paris-based jewellery label.
Messika’s signature Move collection is the most celebrated (and might we add, most playful) of all its lines, and over the years, it has been reinterpreted with various jewellery styles. The innovative range, which is designed to be worn on a daily basis, is comprised of elegant rings, bangles, necklaces, bracelets and earrings in white, pink and yellow gold. Each piece features three free-moving diamonds that represent the everlasting love of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
