Step out of your slides, and bypass your Birks: anyone who is anyone is wearing platform shoes right now.
Last month Valentino muse Zendaya arrived at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s hot pink autumn/winter 2022 show wearing shockingly bright suiting with the house’s towering platform shoes in the same shade. Breakthrough Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, meanwhile, has added a pair of Lanvin’s pierced-heel platforms in an elegant purple hue to her shoe collection.
Longtime platform fan Lady Gaga is currently living in pairs by D’Accori, which also counts Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa as customers. Nicola Peltz Beckham is so devoted to her vertiginous heels she wore them at her wedding: a pristine white satin Versace pair with her Valentino couture for the ceremony, and Amina Muaddi’s party-ready platforms for the post-wedding brunch.
Flatforms are also trending alongside platform sandals. Model of the moment Paloma Elsesser loves Simone Rocha’s pretty beaded ballet pumps, which have a sporty pumped up sole, while Kendall Jenner has worn Dries Van Noten’s elevated thong-toe sandals on repeat.
Shop the stars’ favourite platforms below.
Zendaya
You’ll have to wait to snap up Zendaya’s hot pink Valentino heels from the autumn/winter 2022 collection, but the Tan-Go platforms should tide you over in the meantime.
Rosalía
The singer has fallen for Rick Owens’s hardcore, Berghain-worthy boots, which feature a plexiglass heel and jagged frontage.
Dua Lipa
Balenciaga’s heavyduty Bulldozer boots have caught Dua’s eye.
Simone Ashley
Simone Ashley has worked with stylist Rebecca Corbin Murray on a series of head-turning outfits for the Bridgerton season two press tour. Her purple leather Lanvin look, complete with pierced platform heels, was a standout.
Paloma Elsesser
The model wore Simone Rocha to British Vogue’s Fashion & Film party. The finishing touch? Rocha’s bejewelled flatform shoes.
Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner is nothing short of obsessed with Dries Van Noten’s thong-toe platform sandals. The supermodel has worn them with everything from maxi dresses to jeans.
Hailey Bieber
Bieber wore Naked Wolfe’s sretchy, calf-hugging Spice style with a vintage blush Gucci dress in March.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga was one of D’Accori’s first celebrity clients. The London-based brand has tempted her out of her Pleaser stripper heels and into shiny party platforms.
Sienna Miller
Sienna Miller served boudoir chic in a silky Gucci gown at this year’s BAFTAs. For British Vogue’s Fashion & Film party after the ceremony, the actor swapped her floor-skimming dress for a shimmering mini, but kept the same knotted platform heels on to dance the night away.
Nicola Peltz Beckham
Newlywed Nicola Peltz is a devoted platform fan – Saint Laurent’s Billy boots and Versace’s Intrico boots are her favourite stacked styles.
