Stockholm Fashion Week recently wrapped up three frantic days of Scandi brand showings, bringing this Nordic capital’s fashion elite out in force to battle the winter conditions as stylishly as possible. Trends-wise, tailoring made a conspicuous comeback, with trench coats, double-breasted jackets and wide peak lapels aplenty.
Elsewhere, cosiness reigned supreme, with a showing of teddy bear coats and oversized puffer jackets. Footwear, meanwhile, was utilitarian, with the icy streets threatening to trip those foolish enough to don heels – accordingly, duck boots, ankle boots and thick-soled sneakers such as the Balenciaga Triple-S protected show-goers from salt and snow alike.
