Stan Lee 於2018年11月 12 日於洛杉磯逝世，享年 95 歲。除了是 Marvel 漫畫創辦人、編輯，創作了不少著名漫畫角色之外，還經常客串漫威影業（Marvel Studios）的電影。其最後一次客串的 Marvel 電影是《復仇者聯盟4：終局之戰》（Avengers：Endgame），作為由 Russo Brothers 執導的 Marvel 電影 Phase 1、3、4 的收尾作品，為11年的 Marvel 長跑告一段落。《復仇者聯盟4：終局之戰》結尾有鋼鐵俠的離開，幸好 Stan Lee 和同僚以前還創作了無數其他 Marvel 角色，由此相信， Marvel Phase 4 將會加上更多有趣厲害的角色。
有著二戰後、60及70年代嬉皮風格的 Stan Lee，其本人就已經十分風趣，並在 Marvel 電影留下眾多經典的客串片段和金句。一直工作的他更是將工作演變成自己感興趣的喜好，他表示：「I don’t really see a need to retire as long as I am having fun.」加上他逝世同時亦是 Marvel Phase 1 的終結，連同他平日和在客串片段中，就有不少哲理性、風趣的金句，那麼現在就讓我們來一起回顧其最經典的一些金句。
