年邁80歲的藝術家 Judy Chicago，最為聞名的藝術作品便是1970年代的 “The Dinner Party”  ，講述透過精緻用心的餐桌禮擺設，彰顯女性過去的歷史地位及文化，同時藝術創作當中也分別歌頌不同年代的代表女性從 Boadicea 到 Virginia Woolf。

On May 23rd and May 27th the American Opera Projects, the Brooklyn Museum, and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts co-present eleven new mini-operas (each under fifteen minutes) created by students and performed by professional opera singers with piano accompaniment. The new operas are inspired by "The Dinner Party", which is permanently housed in the Brooklyn Museum. The pharaoh Hatshepsut, the medieval nun, composer, scientist, and prophetess Hildegard von Bingen, and writer Emily Dickinson are just three of the famous women who serve as muses for the operas.
