Willie Garson 的兒子Nathen Garson 在 Instagram 上發布父親一系列照片作為弔念：「”我非常愛你，爸爸。安息吧。我很高興能與我分享你所有的冒險，並能取得如斯多成就。我為你感到驕傲。 我將永遠愛你，但我認為現在是你自己去冒險的時候了。」
而好友兼演員 Cynthia Nixon也 在Instagram上發表悼念文：「對這個消息感到非常、非常難過。我們都愛他，並喜歡與他一起工作。他在螢幕前和現實生活中都有著無盡的樂趣。你是光明、友誼和演藝界傳奇的泉源。」

Willie Garson 本來與《Sex and the City 色慾都市》原班人馬回歸螢幕，而 HBO 也隨即發表聲明指出：「他創造了HBO 中最受歡迎的角色之一，並且是我們家庭中的一員，長達近25年。我們對他的去世深感悲痛，並向他的家人和親人表示誠摯的哀悼。」
